He used his Today guest edit to focus on the fallout from the US military withdrawal from Afghanistan. He spoke to former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, the man in charge of the country before the Taliban takeover.
He also chatted with retired racing legend AP McCoy about what his own retirement might have in store for him.
