Two-time Oscar-winning director Ron Howard tells Simon about his new film with Vince Vaughn, The Dilemma.
Howard explains how he and his business partner came up with the idea and why it's unlike his previous comedy effort "Splash". But does Dr Kermode share Mr Howard's optimistic view of this kooky comedy...? Err... no!
Mark reviews new John Carpenter horror The Ward, saying it labours hard to recall the former glory of Carpenter's earlier films.
