There are no checks on the quality of the repairs and one Police and Crime Commissioner says they pose a risk to road users. 5 Live Investigates has identified a number of fatal accidents involving vehicles that had been previously written off but had been repaired and returned to the road. Also - is the solicitors' regulator doing enough to weed out bogus law firms?
