An accident in the historic centre of Marseille in the south of France has sent shock waves through the city. Two apartment blocks collapsed late last year with the loss of eight lives. Lucy Ash asks who is to blame - slum landlords, corrupt politicians or a combination of the two? There's growing evidence of China's attempts to control its Muslim minorities and suppress their beliefs.
