The LGBT Sport Podcast - The One with Molly McCann

When it comes to MMA, Molly McCann is something of a trail-blazer.

She won the Cage Warriors World Flyweight Championship back in February, 2018, before signing for the UFC and becoming the first Englishwoman to ever win inside the Octagon.

She, like all elite athletes, is having to adapt to the new normal, and is currently preparing for her next fight for the UFC in February of next year. So we’re delighted she’s chosen to spend some time with us, and given us one of the most open, candid and honest conversation we’ve ever done.

There’s a lot in this conversation – mental health, finding your own identity, overcoming adversity, discovering your internal drive to be the best, using your platform to spread social change, educating yourself about issues you care about – but most importantly, it’s a genuine conversation with someone who has chosen to share her story with us.

Doing this episode was a privilege, and we really hope you come away from it feeling the same way we did as well – because we think it’s something special.
