This month, the BBC Radio Ulster Appeal is for the charity Mencap NI, which provides practical support services to children, young people and adults with a learning disability, including their families and carers. Ciarán Mac Ailín explains how Mencap has supported his own son, four year old Danann. We hear from Ola Majekodunmi about a multicultural and multilingual open mic event for poets, musicians, storytellers and comedians from all backgrounds. Also, Caoimhe Ní Chathail visits Cumann Cultúrtha Mhic Reachtain's new statues in honour of two of Belfast's historical figures, Mary Ann McCracken and Henry Joy McCracken.
