Today I’m sharing a very special conversation with Bia Caboz — a young Madeiran artist who is giving new life to fado, Portugal’s most emotional musical tradition. Bia keeps the soul of fado, but she carries it into new worlds: electronic music, rap, Afro-Brazilian rhythms and modern pop.

Her voice is powerful, intimate and deeply moving — and in this interview she sings small excerpts so you can truly feel the emotion of fado through her. We’ve also included some of her most successful songs, which show how tradition and innovation can meet in a beautiful way.
