The European Cup Final on 29 May 1985 was supposed to be a celebration of football – a contest between two of Europe’s best teams - Liverpool and Juventus. But before kick-off a group of Liverpool supporters charged a section holding Juventus fans.

Thirty-nine fans were crushed and trampled to death in the panic that followed. We hear from a Juventus fan who narrowly escaped death that night.
