Racal 1772, yes there are other HF Radios claiming to be the best but this for me is an excellent example of what a good HF set should be. Just the basics, bomb proof FET MIXER first stage, excellent stability and terrific ergonomics. I' ve used them all, WJ, Harris, Collins, NRD and the ham radios, most have come and gone but this one will stay....
